This book opens on what appears to be a crime scene with two dead bodies being removed from a house in a quiet little cul-de-sac with no information as to who they are, and how the ended up dead. As the story begins to unfold I began to make assumptions over who they could be, and why they ended up dead. Ultimately I was kept guessing right to the end and I was only partly right... so much i didn't see coming.
This book is filled with liars. I don't think there is a single person in this book who hasn't lied about something. And usually that would really irk me, I hate unreliable characters, this book is filled with them, but Jensen has worked her magic in such a way that despite the liars and their lies, this book has had me gripped, on the edge of my seat, holding my breath trying to untangle the web of lies to find the truths that needed to be told.
